American Equity Income Rider Rate Change – May 31 2013

American Equity who is known for their consistency and the fact they usually only do 1-2 rates changes per year is making a change at the end of May.  Applications must be received by 1:00pm Central on May 31 to get the current rates. They are increasing fees slightly and lowering their 4.50% compound rider to 4.00%.  As a reminder, American Equity is one of the only annuity carriers that calculates their fees based on the accumulation value versus the income value which makes a huge difference especially as the delta between these two values increases.
